Description
This coffee comes from volcanic soils in the Mt. Oku and Bamboutos regions of Cameroon. Most producers in these regions are small farmers, growing a multitude of other plants year round in between coffee trees. It is believed that the combination high altitude, the volcanic soil, and interaction between these plants, give this coffee an exceptional flavor rich taste. Our goal as micro-roasters is to further exemplify the hard work and dedication that farmers have placed into each coffee bean, ensuring that we preserve the flavor so carefully crafted from the very beginning of each coffee bud.
Directions:
1 ounce of grounded coffee for every 16 ounces of water.

When you think about ordering coffee on the interweb one might be apprehensive. I can ensure you this product is no joke. My coffee addiction has rewarded me with travels around the world and sampling some great and not so great coffee. This French roast has a fantastic robust flavor which leaves me asking, where has this place been hiding all my life. I ordered this item before and made the move to go big and am very happy with my 5 pounds of quality coffee that will serve me well as I am in my graduate program and am up doing classwork late into the evenings

I bought this to try it and see if it could be a suitable replacement for Death Wish coffee, which I don’t care for. I have tried this in a drip coffeemaker, and I have tried it in a French Press… It is just too bitter for me. 🙁 If you really want coffee that is strong enough to dissolve a spoon, this is definitely for you.

The beans are oily. The aroma is amazing. But the taste lacks. It is really smooth. Not acidic. It doesn’t taste bad. It’s just that I was expecting more after the seeing and smelling the beans. I tried the House blend after this and it is better but has a similar “lack of depth”. Both blends require more scoops of coffee than other brands I have tried.

This is a great price for a couple of pounds of excellent quality coffee. The beans are a nice brown roast and they have a great smell. I make at least a cup of fresh ground coffee in my aeropress coffee each morning but I’ve used it in a French press as well. I’ve bought this many times and I’ll keep on buying it. Taste of coffee is subjective but I personally think this one is one of the most delicious out there. I’ve served it to guests who at least said they liked it a lot as well.

Well, if you want a medium roast coffee I would say this is very good. It says Dark Roast on the bag but it’s not dark on the inside. I got medium roast so i’m not a happy

I’m a bit of a coffee snob… Not exactly what I’d call kick ass coffee but not plain ass coffee either… just meh…

It taste pretty good. I was worried it would be bleh in taste but nope, yummy stuff. Drank a cup at 6pm, went to sleep at 3am, back up at 7:30am and well, I feel great. I made some cold brew for this morning and after a few sips, I perked right up.

Kuntz coffee french roast has absolutely ruined me for all other coffees. If you like it dark, rich, and smooth, this is your dream coffee. I used to pile sugar into my coffee. Now, I drink this with just a splash of real cream, and I’ve got bliss in a cup. Fair warning. Coffee you thought you loved will taste like camel urine by comparison (or so I imagine). My once-beloved Dunkin’ Donuts coffee now goes down like battery acid. I can still stomach Starbucks French Roast, but it’s a disappointment. So, approach with caution if you’d still like to believe that any other coffee is palatable. Its name is true.

Good smooth taste. No too strong or bitter

I really like it, my new favorite coffee in Atlanta, 5 star! It smells great, and look like it was shipped the same day it was roasted, doesn’t get any better.

Kuntz coffee is quite mild actually… Not very earthy, not very bold… it is smooth and has a wonderful smell but if you are looking for that punch in the face dark roast, this isn’t it.

I drink a lot of coffee and usually buy the Whole Foods store brand. It pretty cost effective and has a great taste. I couldn’t make it to the store, and a friend recommended to try Kuntz coffee, so I decided to order some online, and I blown away. First of all, it is much fresher than Whole Foods, and the aroma will fill your whole house and you car every morning.

Smells great and taste ok, but way too strong for me.

I’ve been drinking this stuff for 2 months now. The dark roast is very good as well, but the medium roast has a lighter taste that I enjoy more and is my general preference for coffee. The medium roast makes really nice cold brew and excellent drip coffee. I do not like French press coffee, but friends enjoyed it when I made it this way. I drink this coffee almost every day and have not grown tired of it. It goes great with milk and creamer but is also very good straight.

It is the best coffee my husband has ever had, it smells amazing, the taste is bold. You can smell it from the box, as soon as it starts brewing it makes the house smell wonderfully. I wonder recommend this is every coffee drinker I know.

Very smooth with no acid taste.

A good tasting coffee, but this is not dark enough. In my opinion, I should not see through a dark roast. I had to use double the coffee to get it to the level I like. I will not be ordering this again. Was not for me.

Awesome coffee, my first and definitely won’t be my last.

I have a high tolerance to caffeine. This stuff gets me going every morning at 5:30 ready for a 10 month old and an hour long stroller jog to start the day. I do not experience heart irregularities and cracked outness like I do with energy pills or high consumption of monster will lead me to feel. The coffee is delicious too. I tend to stick to French Roast and Sumatra beans and the taste is very compatible. No cream or sugar necessary 😉

Not a coffee expert, but could tell it was different, would buy again if shipping was free.
